Today, I had the day off and it was the first day of the Merry Making class from Online Card Classes, so I decided to make a card. Today’s topic was backgrounds so I decided to do an emboss resist background using the snowflake stamp set from Simon Says Stamps called Snow Much Thanks.
I stamped the snowflake images with versa mark ink on Neehah Card stock and embossed with snow embossing powder. I then used distressed oxide inks in Peacock feathers, Faded Jean, and black soot around the edges.
I am waiting on some of my Christmas stamps so I went through my stash and found a sentiment Merry Christmas from Graphic 45 A Christmas Carol that I stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and cut with a MFT frame die. I tried to look up the die but I don’t see it on their site right now.
I mounted the sentiment onto foam for dimension and adhered to the card panel. Then I glued the panel to a top folding card base. I added some sequence to the card to finish it off. It is a really quick card to make and it turned out really pretty.
