I have been diagnosed with severe Adrenal Fatigue close to failure. Since then I have been researching different ways to naturally heal my body.
I have a triple whammy. I have lost my thyroid and I have insulin resistance. Wow! As I go through this journey, I am starting to think its less of a thyroid issue then an insulin resistance issue.
I believe that once they thyroid hormone is regulated, the remaining health issues are stemming from the one thing that caused me to lose my thyroid in the first place – Insulin Resistance.
I currently take a natural thyroid hormone twice a day and my complete thyroid make up is normal now. But I still have belly fat and adrenal issues.
I have been researching Dr. Berg’s program. I have many of his supplements and I have already cut out the 5 meals a day down to three and when reading his website, I can actually go down to two or one meal a day. I took the body test that is on his website and I have 25% Adrenal Body type and like 45% Insulin Resistance. Both diets recommend the Keto diet with Intermittent Fasting.
The diet make up is 5% carbs, 20% protein, 75% fat. Vegetables are to be at least 7 cups (very large salad!). So, I have decided to try his program. I purchased the additional supplements that I didn’t have and will be starting the Keto plan to see how I do. I have been walking 45 minutes daily so this will help me to fix myself and hopefully get healthy again.
I plan on updating this blog at least weekly to keep track of my progress and to see where I have come from and how far I have come.
