I wanted to share a card I made using the Altenew Beautiful Heart stamp set and coordinating dies. I just received this set last week and wanted to give it a try. This is the first time I have used any of the Altenew stamp sets and it was really beautiful when stamped.
I did have a little trouble lining up the stamps since it is so different that previous 2 or 3 step stamps. I went online to their website and watched some videos to see how it was done and practiced.
I used the Glacier Caves ink sets for the flower. I used the Caribbean Sky for my base layer. The second layer, I used the Persian Blue and the final layer I used Sapphire.
For the leaves, I used Jet Black for the base layer (the outline and vines of the leaves), then I used Forest Glades for the second. Finally, I used Evergreen for the last layer.
I used Wink of Stella on the darkest parts of the flower and the leaves. What was really neat was when the Wink of Steel came in contact with the Altenew ink, the ink became more vibrant.
I laid out everything how I wanted it to look, then stamped the sentiment from the set in Altenew Jet Black Ink. I used press-n-seal over the layout, placed glue on the back of the pieces then laid them back onto the card front. I added prills to the center of the flower and attached the front panel to an A2 top folding white base.
Since this is a card going to my mother-n-law, I used a MFT Stamps Metallic Envelope that matched the darkest color of the flower. It turned out so beautiful.
Well, that should do it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
