Today, I wanted to share something that I had tried before and didn’t really give it a go but am trying again. I am trying the Isagenix’s 30 Day Cleanse. I have been going through many ups and downs since I had lost my Thyroid back at the end of 2015. It has taken 3 years to regulate my thyroid hormone. For about 6 months though, I have been extremely tired.
The doctor had me taking tons of Iodine, Vitamin Bs, Adrenal vitamins. You name it, I was probably taking it. I did some research on the effects of too much Iodine in the body and yep, it causes extreme tiredness! So, I stopped taking that vitamin and started working out and gave up coffee. Still, I wasn’t really feeling 100%.
Last year, I tried Isagenix and I had such headaches in the first few days that I gave it up. Maybe my heart wasn’t really into it like it should be and here is why I say that. When I gave up coffee, the headaches were massive and lasted like 3 days. I had done the same thing back when I started Isagenix so if I would have stuck it out, I would have felt better in a matter of days.
A couple of weeks ago, I heard Dr. Berg doing a segment on intermittent fasting and how that was very good for those with adrenal issues, which is what I felt I had. That got me thinking about Isagenix again and their 4 fast days a month. I went back to their site and looked at all their success stories and did research to see about those with thyroid issues could do well on this program.
I invested in the Weight Loss Value pack because it had the vitamins, greens and all the other products that I would need to be a success. Because of the expense, I am making sure I stick with it and plan on documenting my days here on this blog.
I have been on the program 2 days and wow!!! First, no headaches. I think that is in part because I have been working to clean up my diet anyway.
Second, I have so much energy in just two days! Today, I was off from work and I cleaned the entire house, reorganized my four book cases, cleaned the backyard and did lots of laundry.
I love the vitamins. They normally cost $78.00 I think. There are 60 packets for 30 days (an AM and a PM). This is a savings for me. The cost of all the vitamins the doctor wanted me to take was well over $150.00 each month! I am saving close to $75.00. Plus, now that I am on the program, I will be saving on any eating out that I might have done during the month.
I am becoming motivated. When losing a thyroid, it feels hopeless that I will ever feel normal but in just two days, I have so much more energy, am feeling more positive and am excited to keep moving forward.
I plan on doing 5 shake days before doing my cleanse. Once, I get to the cleanse day, it will be interesting how it goes.
Until next time!
