Today, I wanted to share a card I made using Honey Bee Stamps and Dies as well as MFT Stamps for the sentiments.
The card is an A2 size card made from Gina K heavy weight white cardstock as the base.
Here are the supplies I used for the card:
Honey Bee Stamps: Bee Hive Honey Cuts Die, Branch and Leaves Honey Cuts Dies, Busy Bee Stamps and coordinating Dies, Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil
MFT Stamps: Meant To Bee Stamp Set
Stampin' Up!: Call Me Clover Cardstock and Ink, Shaded Spruce Cardstock and Ink, Daffodil Delight Cardstock, Soft Suede Cardstock and Ink
Misc: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Spiced Marmalade and Salty Ocean, Faber Castell Polychromes colored pencils, Copic Markers (BV000, BV0000), Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Chrystal Glaze, Heart and dots stickers from Creative Retreat.
I die cut all my pieces from cardstock and inked all the edges to warm up the colors. I used two shades of green cardstock for the leaves and soft suede for the branch.
I stamped the bees on Bristol Smooth cardstock in Tuxedo Black ink. The bees were colored in various cool grey and yellow shades from Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils. The wings were colored with Copic BV000 and BV0000.
I colored the background with the outdoor builder stencil and salty ocean distress oxide ink. Then I laid everything out to determine where my sentiment would go.
I stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card base and attached a die cut be. Then used Chrystal Glaze on the wings. I set that to the side and began adhering all the elements to the card front. I used foam tape to raise the bees except for the one in the middle.
Once the inside of the card was dry, I attached the card top to the base and applied Crystal Glaze onto the wings.
Well that should do it for today.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
