Today, I wanted to share a project I made using the One Scoop At A Time workshop kit from Close To My Heart. The kit comes with 2 sheets of pattern paper, two sheets of Cardstock, a stamp set, card bases and envelopes, silver gems and a cutting guide. For this project, I also wanted to create a card box to hold the cards (Design file at bottom of post).
The box is not included in the kit but is really easy to make. When assembled, it will hold six cards with envelopes. However, I used one card base of each design as the cover for each box, leaving 5 cards in each box.
To create a box for each design, you will need 4 additional pieces of White Daisy Cardstock. I used scraps of the design paper for the spine of the box and part of the closer.
Take the closer and attach the shortest end to the bottom of the box, then sit the box on the base of the box top. The top wraps around the box base. the smallest piece cut, folds to make a loop, like a belt loop. The closer will slip into the loop. Attach the loop to the underside of the top of the box top.
Take a finished card and cut at the fold. Attach the card front to the top of the box top. Store the remaining cards from that design inside the box and thread the closer through the loop.
One thing about this kit. It does require a bit of fussy cutting.
